The legal basis for collecting, using and storing your data

Elevate Me RBWM is allowed to process your data if you have given your consent.  You have a ‘right to be forgotten’ so you can ask for your personal information to be deleted where:

  • It is no longer needed for the reason why it was collected in the first place,
  • You have removed your consent for us to use your information and we do not have to keep your information for legal reasons.

If we have shared your personal information with others, we will do what we can to make sure those using your personal information comply with your request for erasure.

We may not be able to delete your personal data if it is needed for legal reasons, for reasons of public health, public interest or for medical purposes.

What data do we collect about you?

We collect information about you when you register with Elevate Me RBWM, the information we collect is your first name, surname, telephone number, and email address.  Website usage is collected using cookies. 

How will the data be stored?

The data will be stored on secure encrypted laptops and systems.

How will we use the information about you?

We collect information about you for the purpose of assisting you with any employment opportunities, training, and advisory services.  We will use information collected in your registration to personalise your repeat visits to the website.

Elevate Me RBWM will not share your information with organisations without need or permission.

How long will the information be stored for?

If your account becomes dormant (i.e. unused for 12 months) your account will be closed and all information securely deleted. 

As long as your account is active it will be stored until such time as the Elevate project ceases or the websites are removed, in which case all information will be securely deleted.

Marketing

We would like to send you information about Elevate services which may be of interest to you.  If you have consented to receive updates you may opt out at a later date.

You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you.  If you wish to stop being contacted please email elevate.berkshire@reading.gov.uk.

Access to your information

You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you.

Cookies

Session cookies are used to determine whether users are logged into the site. These are deleted once your browser is closed.
